From WannaCry and NotPetya to the Equifax breach, the alarming headlines about cyber attacks are hard to ignore, and your SMB customers are worried. Yet even as the number of threats and their level of sophistication continues to escalate, many managed service providers still haven’t embraced the opportunity to offer managed security services to their customers.

A recent study from The 2112 Group and Barracuda MSP reveals that only 15 percent of the IT service providers surveyed currently offer managed security services. Many MSPs are starting to take notice of the opportunity, though. A full 62 percent of respondents say they plan to add or expand security services in the next 12 months.

Whether you’re an MSP or a more traditional reseller looking to branch out into managed services, now is the time to seize the chance to build a strong managed security offering. Not only will it help you better protect your customers, but it will also help you grow your business and strengthen your relationship with your customers. Plus, if you don’t take action now, you might get stuck playing catch-up to competitors that were more prepared to address this growing concern.

The infographic below summarizes some of the key security takeaways from the 2112 study. Download the full report to learn more.
