As managed service providers (MSPs) continue to explore the potential of artificial intelligence (AI), many are asking the innovative ways they can integrate AI into their operations. Logan Ochitwa and Andrew Down from Vendasta recently shared valuable insights in a webinar discussing key strategies for integrating AI into operations, covering consistent marketing content, data management, and daily use. Q: How are MSPs currently using AI?  

The webinar poll revealed that 69% of MSPs are using AI for content creation, 23% for graphic design, 50% for sales enablement, and 15% for customer support.

These figures align with Vendasta’s findings, but there’s still significant opportunity for MSPs to expand their use of AI across all areas.

Q: How can I ensure consistent marketing content and collateral when using AI? 

It is crucial to train the AI effectively to gain consistency. Begin by creating a comprehensive knowledge base that outlines essential brand information, including frequently asked questions, customer profiles, tone of voice, and brand guidelines (such as color schemes and language preferences). This knowledge base helps the AI generate more relevant and accurate content. 

Additionally, provide clear instructions to the AI by specifying the expertise of the persona it should adopt or the specific requirements for the task. This ensures the output aligns with your brand’s goals and tone. By customizing it with common instructions and detailed prompts, you can maintain consistent messaging and collateral across different platforms. 

Q: How do you handle the AI data? 

When handling AI data, be cautious about sharing proprietary information, especially with big tech companies. Some LLMs silo data, enabling real-time use without risking data loss or algorithm training. This approach ensures MSPs’ proprietary data can be used effectively while maintaining ownership and security. 

As AI continues to shape the future of MSPs, the potential for innovation and growth is boundless. By leveraging AI in an innovative manner, MSPs can gain a competitive edge.
