In the recent ‘The Evolving Landscape of the MSP Business 2023’ report, Barracuda surveyed 500 managed service providers (MSPs) and knowledge workers globally to learn more about their outlook on the remainder of the year. The report highlights a handful of themes, one being that there is a strong desire for MSPs to increase their service offerings to achieve their 2023 growth goals. To top it off, the top services they want to add to their offerings are security operations center (SOC), endpoint detection and response (EDR), and extended detection and response (XDR).
For many MSPs, expanding their security services portfolio has been a proven growth opportunity, but provisioning different solutions for customers can be a challenge at times. Barracuda Networks has been a trusted vendor for 20 years to provide MSPs with security solutions that not only differentiate them, but are easy to deploy, use, and manage for their customers. To further improve management capabilities for its MSP partners, Barracuda has introduced a new provisioning interface, the Barracuda MSP App. I sat down with Jake Madson, Sr. Product Manager at Barracuda Networks, to learn more about this innovative new platform.
Barracuda MSP App Q&A with Jake Madson
Q: Can you tell us what the Barracuda MSP App is?
The Barracuda MSP App is a provisioning tool that MSPs can use to easily manage their customers who are subscribed to Barracuda security solutions. They can set up a new customer, activate new products to existing customers, easily and accurately monitor usage, and pay invoices through a single interface.
Q: How does this differ from the existing provisioning tool?
This new tool leverages a modernized design, with a look and feel similar to other Barracuda solutions.
It features centralized login authentication with Barracuda Cloud Control to reduce the need for a separate single sign-on.
Additionally, the Barracuda MSP App will be the exclusive location for all new and future MSP features for provisioning. An example of these features is the Microsoft 365 Connector, which enables MSPs to manage usage-based billing data using a data exporting feature.
Q: How can MSP partners start using this new platform?
MSP partners can start using the Barracuda MSP App through Barracuda Cloud Control today. On July 13th, I will be hosting an in-depth webinar, Introducing the new Barracuda MSP App, to walk-through how this new app helps save MSPs time and money. I encourage MSPs to register and attend to see the difference for yourselves.
Thank you, Jake, for sharing this new tool with us! Don’t forget to join our upcoming webinar on July 13th.
