Expanded XDR capabilities strengthen Barracuda’s security offering

The rise in cyberattacks such as ransomware, spear phishing, and the overall intensified cyberthreat landscape, continues to raise concern for businesses across the globe. With these evolving concerns and threats in mind, Barracuda has announced new enhancements to the Barracuda XDR platform designed to boost its detection and response capabilities, as well as help MSPs streamline their security service offerings.  

Barracuda XDR features an ever-growing list of integrations, providing an open XDR that allows MSPs to leverage existing technology stacks while taking their cybersecurity service offering to new heights. 

New XDR integrations address gaps directly 

Barracuda has introduced new integrations between Barracuda CloudGen Firewall and Barracuda XDR, mapping of detection rules with MITRE ATT&CK(R) framework to quickly address detection gaps, and extended its Security Operations Center (SOC) with further integrations of Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) capabilities. 

With the new integration between Barracuda XDR and CloudGen Firewall, partners can gain visibility of all their firewall deployments through a single-pane-of-glass dashboard and 24×7 detection and response through our SOC services, increasing MSP’s efficiency by reducing product silos, mitigating alert fatigue, and streamlining management of their customers’ environments. By mapping detection rules to the MITRE ATT&CK® framework, it provides the Barracuda SOC team with the ability to understand the attack tactics, predict an attack’s likely next step, and identify gaps in detection coverage. The additional SOAR capabilities to the Barracuda SOC infrastructure ensure faster response time, streamline processes, and more importantly, provide increased protection when a cyberattack takes place.
